Abstract:-The effect of self-gravity on the thermal waves in a non – reacting arbitrary fluid
including thermal conductivity and heat loss function. We are studing the stability of a fluid by
imposing perturbations exp (t + ik.r ) on the equlibrium state and neglecting quadratic and
higher powers in the gas dynamic equations. The resulting secular equation is a polynomial with a
power equal to the number of independent modes of the system. Instability and the stability
conditions in various cases of interest have been stablished.
